Honesty Overrated

I am going to go ahead and take the bold position that if you want to improve your relationship, you should consider being less honest.

Honesty, is overrated.

I think most of us have gotten hung up on the idea that in a good relationship you should always be able to be 100% honest. I say that in a good relationship you should NEVER be 100% honest. You should be 100% polite. If people were 100% honest we would greet each other by saying things like, "Wow, I can't believe how old you're getting! I remember when you had no lines and now you look like a raisin and what's up with your stomach, it's like, TWO stomachs!"

So imagine, what it is really like to be totally honest with one another. Hell , no. I rather go to hell than to be impolite.

Next time you have a meal out together, if he pulls out the credit card, say thank you.Yes, thank him for stuff he's "supposed" to do.Men are simple creatures. I don't mean that in a bad way, I often wish women were as simple as men. Simple can be a good thing.All that most men want is to be your superhero. If you thank them, they will feel important and valuable. Yes, you will be manipulating them, and they will know it, and they will LOVE it. They don't mind being manipulated, they mind not being appreciated.
